Last time it rained here, that was during the summer of last year. Hardly ever rains here. We're a high altitude desert.

Can't say I've noticed it handling better... but I just drive like a normal person and it does just fine

Well stop cornering at 50MPH!!

In the year and a half I've had my V, I have never made it unintentionally slide.

Light rain makes roads more slippery due to the oil coating the surface of the roadway, so that really is not possible for your Versa to handle better with a light coating on the road.

More like lousy and unsafe driver.

Pushing the equipment beyond its intended specs and expecting it to perform beyond its means.

Exactly what I was thinking. Light rain usually makes for fairly slick road surfaces.

I hope he was speaking in hyperbole. I'm no street racer, but I've had experiences where the tires squealed around corners (short highway on-ramps, for instance), but that's mainly because I normally don't drive our Versa much. I've been conditioned to take those particular cornering situations at speeds that are perfectly calm in my car.

The Versa's stock tires do seem to lose lateral grip quite easily in dry conditions.

The V is actually terrible on the turns. I have to keep playing on the wheel to keep it in lane, I sat in a VW Jetta and that car handles beautifully, it takes turns like a beast, no extra effort or anything.

Well the car is tall. Even on lowering springs, it still won't outhandle some cars out there. I think it turns fine for me. I don't drive in a hurry all the time though.
