WTF?!......it rained a few days ago, and I totally forgot to search/post.

The front tires on the Q are a little old, and running too much camber (small contact patch), and I had some hard braking. The ABS went on.....then when I stopped the car stalled.

I tried it a few times, the motor kinda boggs and dies....

FPCU? Im thinking....Jesda said it wasn't mounted, and just held on by a clip....where would this be in the trunk?

FPCU is behind the divider in the trunk. It's normally held on by a 10mm bolt that goes through from the top side (have to remove the back seat and rear deck cladding.

Are you saying it won't start at all now? Do you have fuel pressure? You should be able to feel the fuel line swell when you turn the ignition switch on after it's been sitting for a while.

Its totally running, it was just weird for it to stall a few times. Its "hiccuped" once since about 3 days ago.

When coming to a stop, I had it stall once. I sprayed the MAF and throttle body and the problem went away for a while. Perhaps the TB needs to be removed and cleaned thoroughly.

You can find the FPCU by pulling down the trunk lining in the back and looking on the right. There's an alligator clip attached for an extra ground connection.

When I had a stalling problem like this it ended up going away when I changed the transmission fluid (and filter). May want to give that a shot.

Jesda already flushed transmission fluid

It may be due for another transmission flush late this spring or summer. Normal interval is 30k but I believe its been 20k. The filter is supposed to be done at every other flush, and it was not done at the last one. So while the fluid is still bright red, the filter may be clogged. Might want to just drop and clean the pan, replace the filter, and top off. Then do another fluid flush in the summer or fall of 06 to finish it off.

The problem I originally had was, when coming to a sudden stop, under heavy braking, the RPMs would dip down and it would sometimes stall. My presumption was that the throttle body was sticking. Cleaning the TB (which I think was done a month before I sold you the car) fixed the symptom completely (for the time being), and a proper MAF would help eliminate that as a cause.
