BG and others make a small [holds 24 ounces] pressurized tank with multiple hoses and adapters that takes shop air thru a variable pressure regulator and with a proper nozzle fogs the intake or without the nozzle substitutes the liquid for the fuel from the main tank.
In theory enough BG 44k in tank or frequent enough use can be almost as good as a rail flush eventually.
The major advantage is the rail flush can be done at varying and increased above idle/cruise pressures [34 psi] to force some of the varnish thru the injector individual screens...........the injectors can tolerate 60 psi even 80 psi for a short time........... we start out at 34 psi, raise to 44 psi and finally 55 psi for a minute or so during the 15-25 minute time the engine is running on the solvent from the cannister.
It really is a 4 step process: Manually clean as far as you can inside the throttle bosy, the fog the intake for 20 minutes to move the junk down as far as it will go , then the rail flush to wash the injectors and the junk the fogging moved on the valves and into combustion chamber. THEN exercise [drive at repeated WOT accelerations for 10 minutes] the engine IMMEDIATELY after the rail flush to blow the junk out of combustion chambers. Then keep driving aggressively for the next 25 miles.
You don't have to speed just use 1st gear to 50 mph a lot! Then change the engine oil after the exercise.
Do this every year and BG 44k prior to each 90 day oil change and you won't have probleems.
