So I was using the Raidmax Smilodon case and a Thermaltake V1 heatsink. My temps were 32-33ºC at idle and 69-70ºC under full load. That was way too hot.

I decided to swap cases and heatsinks. I ended up getting the Antec Nine Hundred case, and the Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme heatsink. The temps are now 21-22ºC at idle, and 45-47ºC under full load. I didn't pull the cover to take a pic of the heatsink. You can kind of see it through the side panel, but I attached the pic from Thermalright's website.

Specs: Asus P5K-SEIntel E2160 Dual core 1.8 Ghz, overclocked to 3.2Ghz 24/7. Can push to 3.51, if needed.Nvidia 9600GT OC then overclocked again to 800/1000Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme heatsinkCreative X-FI extreme music sound cardAntec Nine Hundred case with 500W PSU

I like the CoolerMaster, but what's the deal with the front doors? I effed up one of my disc drives. I forgot that the Raidmax had a door, and hit eject... Now it won't open or close without manual assistance. It hit the door, was held closed, but the gears were popping, trying to force it open.

Back to the subject... That CoolerMaster is badass. I wasn't impressed with the noise from it though. I like it cool and quiet, and since I'm not really pushing it too hard most of the time, the Antec keeps is chilly when the fans are on low.

Yeah, I hate the door fad. Very stupid. Serves no purpose I can think of aside from aesthetics, but does so at the expense of function. Case rice.At least the coolermaster's door is vented, though.

Plus, I kind of want people to see the drives peaking out. That way they get an idea of what lies beneath.

The coolermaster's swinging fan mounts and mostly-vented exterior surfaces (even the bay fillers!)are an idea that need to be adopted by ALL cases. And the sliding mobo tray is brilliant.

Another thing that should be mandatory on every case is having the power supply on the bottom. I realize that heat rises, and it makes sense to have it up top, but at the expense of one messy fuggin interior. The Raidmax had it's supply up top, and even after wrapping all the wires, it was still a terrible mess. With the supply on bottom, any excess wire sits low and out of the way, or is easily tucked under the drive bays. That's also one of the things that sold me on the Antec.

for the reason u just said tht heat rises i can deal with shrink wrapping wires and hiding them. where as i can not change the laws of science. so i like the ps up top. also how much did your heatsink cost u?

I prefer the wires on bottom, plus with all the airflow, it should be okay.

$59. on sale Originally priced at $69. Then I had to sport another $10. for the fan. All in all totally worth it.

Like I said, I don't want water. On top of leaks, it is so humid here all year, that I also have to worry about condensation. Plus sitting at 47ºC at 100% load on an 87% overclock, is pretty damn awesome, especially for air cooling.

I wasn't looking for one. It came from the old PC, and works just fine. When I can afford to upgrade to blue ray, then I'll buy another one.

It's not beige, it's silver. The lighting in the room is soft and orangish.
