Your top is operated by hydrolic rams. You possibly have a leaky hose or ram in the panel to the sides of your rear seat. I had to have a hose fabricated at a local forklift shop as nissan no longer carries the left hand hose set. Open you trunk and see if there is any oil in the pump in the right front of your trunk space. If not you probably have the leak. You can bypass the rams and manually raise and lower the top by hand by turning the valve on the top of the pump so it is pointing toward the front of the car.

ah i see, yea its empty and there's signs of a leak on one of its fastners, any clue tho how i open the reservoir to get some fluid in there? my guess is to use some key on that silver screw atop the reservoir..?

Yes that is the fill plug but you can not simply pour fluid in there and its all good. You have to go through a bleading process to purge the air out. It requires you to put the top down, remove the inside trim panels, undo the rams from the stack, Disconnect one of the pink hoses from the pump, plug the port on the pump, place the pink hose in the fill hole of the resivor, opate the top to full up postion till all the air bubles stop coming out of the hose. Then do it again with the other pink hose. You will likely find a spraying leak once you bleed them. Thats how I found the hose leak on mine.
