There will be a raffle for a case of Valvoline Synpower at the Oct 5th meet.

It will be in 5w-40, perfect viscosity for those of us that have sohc/dohc engines and so need good cold flow protection but still want an oil that works well when driving hard.

ValvolineSynPower is a full PAO synthetic oil, meets ACEA A3-98:beer:.

Has a strong detergent package and as a PAO full syn is highly foaming resistant for all you Speed demons...:D

It's a well known, but hard to get family of automotive detergents.

You can buy a "BG44k" for your fuels system (both as a injector flush and as a fuel tank additive).

They also make one of the very very few oil additives that actually does something useful.

It doesnt claim the world, like the frauds (Zmax, prolong, slick 50 etcetc), but adds a good detergent package, for those that run a lower detergent oil (such as MOBIL1) as well as zinc a powerful anti wear addtive that is missing or low in most modern oil formulations (SJ and SL).

One bottle of BG44k doesn't outrank a case of SynPower though..:D

yes BG44K is what i meant not BGK44...i'm a lil sleepy right now.your right it doesn't outrank a case of synpower...something i would like to have myself, but convience wise the stuff is very hard to get a hold of.Fred who ever gets it make sure you instruct them on it for me. don't want anyone running around with a 1/8 tank of gas and a can of this stuff.

I haven't found that stuff yet here in town.Do you have a source?;)We might make a few of those a prize next time.

If we get some, I promise I will tell the guys how to use it right.

I'm not sure. I have a feeling a few of the guys that are tripping down will meet there for the pre-meet.

I'll email around a bit to make sure we have at least a few.
