will post this again as some asked and now with that in title easy to search for.
9 pin plug color scheme
red 12 volt positive switch lead(basic hot comes on with ignition)
yellow 12 volt positive to battery constant( to hold settings)
black is ground
white/black left front neg speaker
white left front pos speaker
gray / black right front neg speaker
gray right front pos speaker

not all have rear that I know of and may be of another color but this was mine. I did not
have rear wires i ran my own but this was schematic for after market plug to harness so colors should be right unless back are missing and then you need to run your own from what ever stereo you use and check the schematic to assure your stereo is same as mine

green/black left rear neg speaker
green left rear pos speaker
purple /black right rear neg speaker
purple right rear pos speaker.

I am not 100% but most car companies keep color codes across models and for YRS, why change it? Some late models may have extra wires for newer radios with remote turn on and ant lead for power antennas but basics are usually solid for decades. Be sure and check but when buying a plug adapter they usually fit many models and many yrs and are the exact same, but always double check.

yeah i know. but what im saying is it could be like how my 240 is where someone cut the clip off the chassis harness. you would want to get a multi meter and do a one-by-one check and see which one goes where. i.e. check for your constant first with your volt meter then find the switch power. on any nissan you have to make your own ground for the radio no matter what. then get some length of wire to reach all of the speakers. use ohm and connect one of the wires where your radio goes and hook up your wire to one of the wires for the speaker on the door or in the back. and mark them off. all that matters is that you get the positive and neg. hooked up right on the speaker.

I have an issue if anyone could help me, i just took out the old cassette player out of my moms hardbody and cut the connecters off but i cannot seem to find any place that have the same matching colors/wire as my moms truck. It is a 1996 Nissan hardbody EXT/king cab 4x4 it does have the speakers in the back. If anybody could help me it would be greatly appreciated. Here is a picture of the wires. Image

houstonlh, please be patient for an answer. It's unnecessary, and confusing to create new threads for questions that you've already posted. Thanks!
