radio swap 2006 to 2004

does anyone know if a 2006 Bose stereo will fit a 2004 with the Bose unit?
Is there wiring issues?

Wiring may be different since the 2006 models had audio controls on the wheel.

Fit is sure to a little off since the console is a little different starting in '06 as well, wonder if you can just get a trim kit and take care of that. The basic firm factors of all the headunits is the same, they're all DIN-2.

I'll do some more Internet delving, not an easy question though, most drivers are upgrading to pure aftermarket systems and not a different model year.

Did you get a great deal on an '06 head unit?

50 bucks on craigslist.
I would like to keep the car a stock as possible.
Didn't feel a need for the cassette deck anymore.
The stock 2004 HU skips when playing cds and thought this would possibly cure it.
