So some of you know my car broke down.. well its fixed now and I'm embarrassed to explain the solution. Just one of those things that require experience rather than education.

Anyways. I had taken the audio fuse out in effort to diagnose the car. Some bonehead put a 15AMP audio fuse when it should be a 20AMP. I did not know.

So I turned on the radio, it worked, but has not worked after that.

There are two audio fuses on the driver side. 20AMP & 10AMP... neither have blown, nor did the 15AMP while it was in there. However, the 1AMP fuse has blown for the power wire that goes from the HU to the CD changer.

Does that mean my radio has fried? Regardless of the CD Changer+CD fuse, the HU has always worked.

I disconnected my battery and will connect it again (1-hour) to see if that will help.

If someone has some ideas throw them out there please...

I really dig the stock HU.

Are you talking about your 1994 Q45 with the OEM 10 Sony CD changer or the 1993?

Where is the 1 AMP fuse located?

And whats your solution? If you want email me it.

I would replace all fuses with what they should be and see if that helps.

Check all power going to fuses and make sure they all get power.

Already did that my friend. Wouldn't be here typing if I had the fix.

Its for the 94. OEM head unit and OE Changer - 10disc optional added after the car was bought. Everything worked.

The HU has a power wire running to the CD changer. Between that wire is a 1AMP fuse which blew. But that would not stop the HU from powering on. I've had that fuse blow before.

As for my car not starting... it was a harness connector that lost contact. Simple 5-minute fix, but like I said it was a blessing in disguise that I wasn't able to drive this car and I realize those reasons now.

Well if it was added at the dealer Or by someone else and not at the factory then its hard to tell as you can't guarantee the work to be 100% not the the factory is ever 100% at everything they do.

But I am at a loss for an explanation because there could be so many things wrong, But the cheapest and easiest solution would be to get a new or used HU.
