When I charge my cell phone in my car through the auxilliary power source, my radio reception is noticeably worse. Does anyone know if this is normal?

Thanks.

Is it only when you charge the phone, or is it when the phone is simply on?

It happens in either case. Whether just charging or charging with the phone on, it's worse. If nobody else has noticed this, I'll assume it's some wiring issue or something and take it in. I just don't know if this is normal.

What about if the phone is on, not charging? Have you tried to use the cigarette lighter plug?

Although I have an 06, I've never had a problem charging and using my Blackberry.Return your vehicle to the dealer & let them check it out. While you are there borrow a loaner & see how that works.

Definitely sounds like some sort of interference is going on somewhere, which isn't typical. +1 for the dealership checking it out.

Thanks for the advice. I wanted to make sure this wasn't something that was expected. My plan was to bring it into the dealership and wait for them to tell me it's normal function....then ask them to prove it in THEIR car.

Ya'll have a happy new year.
