I stopped at the mall today. When i got back in my 03 Infiniti G35 sedan the radio didnt work, and oddly my AC unit went to auto and the fan went wide open. I turned off the ignition to try and reset it. nothing happened. Can anyone help me? Thanks for your time. Bunky

The A/C controls are housed in the same module as the radio, so having both go at the same time isn't surprising. Hopefully member "StevetheTech" will stop by soon... he's very experienced with the G.

My guess is that you'll have to replace the module.

Hey there Bunky, Welcome to Nico.

Unfortunately there is no cheap remedy for this. Depending on the service history your dealer may be able to help you out. From my experience it seems like the audio switch assembly starts to fail more than likely takes the radio with it. I have had mixed results replacing one or the other than almost always end up putting the other part in.

If talking with the service consultant at your local dealer turns up with no result, then you can replace the radio with an aftermarket finisher plate.

Good Luck

Try to disconnect the battery for a few minutes(10 or so) and reconnect. If everything works it's PROBABLY the faceplate /switch panel. If not it PROBABLY needs the radio. The faceplate is powered up from the radio so sometimes it's trial and (unfortunately expensive) error.
