so the other night, not paying attention I put my terminals on backwards and try starting the car, and then relaized how stupid I was and turned the battery round, so long story short, nothing electrical works in my car except my starter which clicks and the turn signal lights in the front, the rear lights don't work, the radio doesn't, the digtal clock lights up but doesn't tell time and so forth, so turns out I blew my alt fuse, I fixed that and put a new battery in and now everything works but one thing, my radio. so I checked the audio fuse, its fine, all my connections are good and I looked in the back of the radio which is a pioneer DEH-P3700MP to see if there was a fuse behind it and if it was blown, well there is no fuse behind the radio, and I'm running out of ideas, does anyone have a clue on how to fix my radio?

check your insturment cluster fuse (i think that is the one) it will make your radio not work as well

it is possible but unlikely i think, as that is what the fuses were designed to do.

i am not trying to insult your intellegence here, but i know after i disconnect my battery my radio defaults to off, have you tried hitting the power or play button?

i know it has tripped me out a few times on my stereo

check all fuses again....find a cheap multimeter, believe me is a good investment specially when you own a 240sx....and check for power (12V) in the radio harness....quick and fast check. If you have 12V then check your ground (should be good), then is your radio. If 12V are present then backtrace to your wiring/fuses...Anoter quick check, take radio out and connect (carefully...) directly to battery or run a long wire from battery and splice into back of the radio...if radio comes on, radio is good.

Not often, but sometimes there is fuse on an internal pcb that could have popped, maybe you'll have to take it to Pioneer service center to have it repaired. check with a multi-meter is great advice, espeicaly useful for other projects down the road.
