Hey guys a while back I tryed fixing my cigarette lighter and in the process a hot wire touched my radio case and sparked and killed my radio, alarm system, and dash clock. I fixed the fuse for the dash clock.

Checked all my audio fuses and got a working radio out of my friends Jeep that had the same aftermarket plug type, plugged it in, and still nothing.

Any ideas?

Are there any other fuses that I should check or look for another problem?

Or could his radio have a different power/whatever wire and I just need to rearrange the wires on my cars aftermarket conversion harness?

Thanks

did you check the fuse on the deck itself?

Get the correct harness for your car. A Jeep is not going to have the same wire harness as a Nissan. That just makes sense. I dont know how the plugs could be similar either.

You have a blown fuse.Check all of the fuses, not just the radio one.

I checked the radio fuse.

What other fuses should I chceck in the car?

Also the alarm system is completely uninstalled, but it was never hooked up to the radio in any way.

What I mean by his Jeep had the same plug is I took an aftermarket deck out of it, its a pioneer or something, and my aftermarket conversion harness plugged right into the back of the pioneer.

So will the wires need to be rearranged for power?

the plug that plugs into your deck plugged into his? are they both pioneer? are you sure the pin-outs are the same? idk much about radios, but they may not all be wired up the same within the same brand.

there should be a fuse on the back of your deck, as well as an audio fuse in your fuse panel. while you're down there, check all the fuses, some of them control more than what the diagram says.

Most cars have a radio or audio fuse under the hood. That's most likely the problem.
