okie so its not become a obsession of mine to figure out and out to swap the color of the LCD screen in the radio I went to 5 different junk yarks and bought 3 radios very cheap.. I dont plan on doing it to my radio but it is something that I need to do on my own to satisfy my anal ways..
lol

SO i was able to change the LEDS PLCC-2 and plcc-4 in the HVAC i can change everything except cant figure out the right way to unsolder this darn screen there is so many little pins there has to be a trick or tip on how to get it off.. Yea i broke 1 radio screen allready 2 to go.. the cost of the radios were 80 for all 3.. so I dont mind it.. I change the hvac it looks great.. now this LCD screen please help Surmann hmmm please?

I dont think there is anyway around it, you need to unsolder all of the pins...very, VERY carefully. Buy a solder sucker and the smallest iron tip you can find, it will help you out ten fold. Maybe an adjustable heat iron as well so you dont melt anything.

I used to do some work for a live audio sound engineer. Lots of tiny 8 pin connections, MIDI 6 pins, etc. Solder sucker saved my life!

Also waiting on some pics. You could be the new Surman!
