For a few months now my radio has been having significant problems. The display has stopped working as well as the buttons but my steering wheel controls still work. The sound also cuts off randomly at certain volumes or gets stuck on one. Is this a fuse issue or does anyone know of a fix? Thanks!

Welcome to NICO!

Bummer that your car is having an issue. Could you tell us a little more information?
- what year is the car?
- is the radio the stock unit?
- any other problems; does it play sound and pick up stations?

You might find the issue is a grounding problem or a bad connection- especially if someone has removed this radio for an aftermarket one and replaced it upon selling the car. Taking it out of the dash and inspecting it may show you the issue.

Sorry for not including more info originally. Its a 2002 Infiniti I35. Stock radio and as far as I know it has never been removed or replaced.

Other than not lighting up, is it working like its supposed to? AM/FM/CD playback? Fade/balance work?

You may want to take a peek at the radio section of the Factory Service Manual for your car. We provide them free of charge to NICO members.

There may be some others who are more knowledgeable than me posting up soon.
