radio issue

All my wires are hooked up yada yada ground is good. The only problem is the ignition wire coming into it is only gettin like 2 volts when the radio needs 12 ( alpine radio) i dont know if anyone has had a problem like this but if u have please tell me how u fixed it or if u have to use a different kind of radio.

Do you have your black lead on a good ground when checking the wire? Have you checked all the wires in the radio harness to see if 12v is coming out of ANY of them when ignition is on? Is your key turned to IGN when checking the wire for 12v? You say all your wires are hooked up, have you actually plugged the harness into your radio to see if it turns on?

ya i plugged it up and didnt come on. its the only wire that is supposed to get 12v that doesnt. and if u splice it it will run the battery down....
