Radio in J 30 1994

Could someone help me..when i turn the power on the radio nothing happens.. I took the unit out and after some juggling of the wires I got power and sound. as soon as I start my car up the radio goes off...and no power to it.

mine was dead for a while but when i turned the headlights on it would work for some reason. then that broke and i ended up replacing it with a mp3/cd player.

Um sounds like a fuse. Better yet it sounds like a short. Make sure all your connections are crimped and no wires are touching metal except the ground. Is it all factory stuff back there have you worked on it any. Like adding an amp or something else. If not check that all the wires are in the connectors properly. Make sure none are loose.

just make sure the wiring harness is shoved in as far as it goes, and that all the fuses check out.

do a search. the bose units drop dead upon occasion.
