Hi, I have a 2001 QX4 with factory stereo and the CD player hasnt worked in ages... so I have the opportunity to buy a unit for sale by a fellow Nico member but its out of a 2002-2004, which I know is a different unit, but I'm wondering if the connectors are the same in behind? I would ask him to send me pics of his, and I'd look at mine, but I'm out of town for another 10 days... If anyone knows if it will work, please let me know! Thanks

the easiest answer... it might. here is where you run the risk.... on nissan radio's (especially with ones that are Bose equipped) the actual equipment while looking the same on the outside are actually made by several different manufacturers. Example, I have an 03 Pathfinder, with a Bose 6disc. that radio is only manufactured to Bose Specs, but some are made by Pioneer and some are made by Clarion. To my knowledge, as in my example, you have to use a specific one ,you cant interchange. so the same might be true for you. Just giving you a heads up. let me know how you make out.

Has this been tried yet? I'm curious as to whether the steering wheel controls still work as well.

I didn't buy it. Someone else got it before i had the chance to check out the manufacturer on mine... I'm still looking for another one though. If anyone knows of one, let me know. Thanks
