need some questions asked:

is this a new purchase for you? or have you had the car for a while?

if the latter, is there any mods done to the AV system?

do you see any other idiot lamps on that shouldn't be?

is the system factory or aftermarket?

check for any codes at the OBD port.

hi thanks for your reply.

we are original owner on the car. we took off the road for over a year and had to jump start it etc to get running again. this is when we found the fusible link was not working and was keeping it from starting.

the radio and everything is stock. we do have electric start and that is aftermarket if that makes a difference. there are no check engine lights coming on.

i ended up hooking up an action obd scanner to the car and was getting a code for p0455 even though the car instrument panel was not showing check engine light. i reset the ecu with this tool and everything worked right away.

i welcome your feedback . i am hoping i don't lose functionality again. having a qx56 with no bose radio and no navigation screen is NOT THE SAME. can now control everything

cheers

cool ! glad to hear you got things back up !! and saved some coin in the process!

the computer system in the car won't always throw a code out immediately. it will store certain codes in its memory and see if they fix themselves--if it doesn't fix itself, the code appears and the MIL lamp comes on.

could have been that the code was about to throw a MIL but you caught it.

id still keep an eye on things. hopefully the jump start didnt mess with the brain...

Thanks , i am not sure what is going on. I am dealing with a headlamp with condensation now and the passenger side hid bulb is out and ballast is wet. Any advice on this? Can I go aftermarket some one?Nissan wants 1500 for a headlamp assembly. They should be ashamed of themselves. I don't believe the car will pass inspection.
