I just bought and installed a new battery and when I'm all done putting it in now the radio doesn't work. I can hear the CD changer go and then also it will eject the cassette and take a new cassette when I disconnect the battery, but no display, no nothing. I just get 1 annoying high pitched beep when I start the car.

I heard about disconnecting the battery to reset and tried 3 times for 10 minutes each to no avail. Also checked the fuses and they all looked fine.

Any thoughts would be helpful!

Have you checked the "AUDIO" and "AUDIO AMP" fuses behind the driver coin tray?

Yep, first thing I checked, they look fine. I actually just to be safe pulled every fuse from the coin tray fuse block and checked them all and they all appeared fine.

Mine does something close to what you are saying. If I press the tape button, then cd it usually fixes it. Hope that helps.

Just a follow-up on this, it turns out the head unit was fried. I replaced with an aftermarket and it has been fine ever since.
