First off, I have searched and searched but no posts have answered my question.

I am pretty well experienced in automotive electrical but i am stumped. The radio quit working and the clock as well even though the light comes on to illuminate it. i have checked for continuity of all fuses under the d.s, kick panel witha 12v test light and it all checks out even the audio fuse. BUt at the factory radio harness i get acc. 12 volts to the stereo but not constant 12v. the interior lights also quit working. im stumped. even checked the brown ign relay behind fuse panel it works fine. Any help would be appreciated. thanks

The fuse you need to look at should be the 10A fuse on the right column, 3rd down. It supplies the interior lights, the seatbelts, the clock, the timing control unit, and the radio with a 12v constant. It gets its feed from the main ignition fuse. It could be a common ground issue. The clock and radio both use the grounds M57 and M116 in the service manual. M57 is under the dash and M116 is above the rear driver wheel well. If your trunk lamp still works, then I would suggest looking at those grounds as the trunk receives the same 12v feed as the rest of the interior but it uses different grounds. If it isn't working, then something is jamming up the 12v constant at that fuse.

Without knowing what else works and doesn't work, I can't guarantee it's a ground issue as a lot of things use the two grounds I listed. I'm more inclined to think it's the fuse or a break in the harness just past the fuse box before that circuit starts to branch. The wire color in question is a Red/Black wire. Question; have you tried a different 10A fuse to make sure it's not a bad fuse?

thank you! was a corrosion in the ground wire, soldered and heat shrinked it and good as new.
