Radio/ AC Circuit board issues ?

So ive discovered that my radio no longer works and my ac controls are dead and dont work either. Upon research ive found out that this is a common deficiency and that the radio/ac circuit board fries and causes them not to work. I was just wondering if anyone has had this problem and what they have done to solve it ?
