Awhile ago, the CD player (base CD player) in my 07 Versa went out. CDs were skipping and it was making this awful sound like something was out of whack. Nissan replaced it and everything was going good until last week. Same thing started happening and now when I try to put in a CD it just says "CHECK CD" and spits it out. Nissan is replacing this one too, but I am trying to figure out if it's just me or has anyone else had a crappy radio? I play CDs every day, but other than that, I don't shove them in hard or whatever else I would imagine would cause problems. I am just waiting till its out of warranty (I'm at 20K now) and when it breaks again, I'll be looking for a good aftermarket unit that will fill up that huge space in the dash...

Do you live in a damp/humid climate? Sometimes when it is very humid out the lens on the CD player fogs up and it has trouble reading the CD's. Otherwise you may just have gotten (un)lucky with the 2 CD players...mine works fine but then again I have 2000 miles on my car....and 7000 on my old Versa with no problems

I'm having a similar problem, but it only seems to happen in the mornings! Sometimes mine switches from CD to the radio on its own. I have an appointment to have it checked out next week.

never a problem with my radio here besides my gf always changing my stations...wonder if i can have that part fixed under warrenty
