So my radiator cracked just below one of the cooling lines that goes into the left top (if you are facing the front of the motor). I don't know what caused this to happen BUT I need to know because I replaced one that did the exact same thing about a week ago. I know I need a new radiator which I hope one of you have for a reasonable price (has to be new) and also, any suggestions on what would cause it to crack? I'm using 50/50 coolant (green) and my thermostat is new, so is my water pump. The split is directly below the metal fitting that the hose connects into.

Also, I am looking for a new transmission mount and the cheapest I have found thus far is 89.90 from rockauto... Any other helpful sites or tips for this?

VARIOUS MFR Part # IN3010110 {#2145067U00}
Radiator assembly

$102.79 is the price for the radiator from rockauto.com

Advance wants 127.99 for my transmission mount

Rock auto wants 89.90 for the same one...

Just looking for a cheaper radiator... or maybe one that will fit from another car or suv in the nissan/infiniti line...
help help help!!!! lol

$102 is about the cheapest you will find a BRAND NEW q45 radiator for. factory part is around $500 for comparison! Are you saying it is cracking where the large upper radiator hose connects to it????? If so, I would almost think the motor mounts are shot allowing enough twisting of the engine and attached upper hose to torque the radiator where the hose connects to it,leading to cracking the plastic radiator.

Search for some of my old posts on the radiators, I can't remember the details but there is a lot of info in the old threads.

When you replaced the radiator was it with brand new?

I'd only get an OEM trans mount.

Not the upper radiator hose, the the hose that goes from a hard line to a rubber hose, i think its a transmission cooling line... and it wasn`t factory but i did flush it out, it was used.... and is the mount from rockauto a bad idea or should i order that one? I am trying to avoid too much spending because i still have a transmission to put in because the reverse died on mine... Would that effect the rad lines at all?

Great point Wes, if he used an old used radiator, I am not surprised it cracked, as the plastic gets brittle due to old age and continual heat cycling. My original radiator lasted for 11 years and developed a crack at upper hose mount- upon disassembly, you could feel how brittle it had become. New radiator has been in for almost 5 years and over 100,000 miles of use so far,and still working great {an inexpensive CSF brand, around $120 or so}

I guess what I am asking is what are the pros and cons of after market trans mounts vs oem from infiniti?

I'm thinking that the trans mount from Joe might be cheaper than at rock auto. Most the time those parts are just renamed OEM parts that are more expensive.

Unless i'm reading it wrong, its not cheaper... i need the whole thing that bolts to the cross member for the transmission... rubber and all.
