I was gonna add Lucas Super Coolant additive to my coolant system. No problems, just thought it would make it even better.. My filler cap is original and won't come right off after turning. I'm afraid to push it because it's original cap and afraid I may snap something. Can I go to cap under cover that is a entry point to radiator too or can I put it in reservoir?

Why don't you just go buy new caps and put some grease on the rubber, at some point you're more then likely going to have to revmove it/ them anyways.

It is good to replace caps as preventative maintenance items and definitely if the gasket becomes suspect in any way.

One of our senior members that owns a repair shop in the Atlanta area almost lost his Q's engine over a failed cap.

For no more than caps cost, why worry?

Yes change caps, mine weren't holding correct pressure causing all sorts of random temp spikes, bucking and rougher running.

UPDATE: Replaced radiator refill cap. Cap on radiator is fine as it is not the original. Thanks for the note of caution . I wish the Lincoln forums were so vigilante knowledge wise. My other vehicle is 2000 Lincoln Ls and those forums are just lacking.
