Has anybody ever heard that you can swap out a stock radiator for a VW rabbit radiator? That would be cool because the rabbit rad is a 3 row aluminum, which I think is better than the stock rad. Its also a lot cheaper.

measure it before you go for it. If they're about comparable, do it. Let us know how it goes.

One of the other guys I talked to on this forum put a geo radiator onto his ka24e. He did it because it was what he had and cost him next to nothing and he was missing a radiator, haha.

The thing he had to do was get a non stock radiator hose.

But yea, like 180fan said, measure it is the safest way to save you headaches.

I know the radiator piping/hose should be around 34mm. Other than that, it's just a matter of finding a way to mount it so it doesn't fly into the engine

i have one in my datsun.

its tiny. i would stick with the stock radiator, or just upgrade to aftermarket aluminum.

so this is better suited to smaller cars ie. 510 or a rabbit?

so i guess my new junkyard search is to find a stock 3 row alum radiator thats fits a 240 from a willing donor for the price of rice.

it would appear so, but if it does fit in a silvia I'll be the first to let you know.
