on the underside of the radiator there is the inlet and outlet lines for the ATF fluid from the radiator to the engine and vice versa. is the plug on the radiator the same size as the line coming form the engine. i just ha dmy radiator changed and the ATF fluid was leaking, when i inspected the hose i noticed that the hose was having trouble going over the nozzle on the radiator, but on the side coming from the engine it just slipped right on and clamped down without a problem. does anyone know if they are supposed to be the same size? Any help would be appreciated.

I just noticed my radiator leaking 20 mins ago. I still haven't checked to see if it's a hose or a radiator leak. With 186K mile on my machine I look forward to my first major mechanical repair. Deciding if I'm going to replace myself or pay to have it done. Did you replace yourself? If I replace myself I'll come back with some useful information.

Radiator replacement runs around $300~
The part costs between $140-200 depending on brand.

As for the OP question, I have no idea. I just had mine replaced by my mechanic since I wasnt sure it was a radiator problem and had the car in for a diagnostic already anyway.

i did not replace it myself i travel on my job and did not have the time a friend who has a shop did it for me. the leaking was coming from the lower radiator hose which i replaced and have not had a problem since.

I replaced it on my 03 last year, takes about an hour or so. When removing, you will have to take off the cooling fan, be sure to fill up the cooling fan fluid(nissan atf). I got a rad from 800 radiators, it was not that expensive.

I've been documenting my repairs for a few years now. Here's the link 06-m35-at-164k-miles-here-s-what-to-expect-t538945.html
