Okay, I'm probably gonna catch some hell from this one, but which radiator hose is supposed to go to the thermostat housing? This particular car in question has the lower hose connected to it, and I have never seen one like that before. I'm not sure what engine is in this car, I've never worked on Nissan much before. Thanks in advance for your support!

GENERALLY (not always), the upper radiator hose will connect to the Tstat housing.

LOL, yeah, but funny because the KA doesn't.

Hey, and thanks for the response. I am guessing we are dealing with a KA motor, then. Everything just looks like it "fits" with the lower on the top. Nothing is in a bind, just seems to work like it is, but we just had a different motor put into this car, and we caught the mechanic lying to us a couple of times, so a little frustrated with him. Coolant started practically started pouring out of it, located the leak around the thermostat, that's when I saw that it was the lower hose that connected to it. I thought that was strange, too. Will take a pic tomorrow, but right now, the shroud and stuff is off because the thermostat housing cracked, and we are waiting on Nissan to order it...no part houses around here carry that thing, and there aren't too many pickings at the local junkyards.

KA E or KA DE? I could swear I was using a KA DE upper radiator Hose on my CA for the connection from the radiator to the Tstat housing.

I know I am using a KA24DE upper hose, and a KA24DE Koyo R1276 2 core radiator. The KA upper hose goes into the t-stat housing.

Well, it's not the thermostat housing that's leaking...granted, it WAS leaking, cause it was cracked, but we still have water practically pouring out from under there somewhere. Can anyone tell me how to post a pic on here? I'll run out and see if I can snap a couple.
