Hopefully someone can shed some light here. I have a 92 240sx. I don't have the stock engine it came with because I purchased a KA24de from a guy who had a 93 hatch that had a swap too. So I'm unsure of mileage or what year s13 this came out of. My issue is the car's radiator/coolant hoses keep building up way too much pressure. I understand some pressure being in the lines while the car is hot but it builds tight pressure within minutes of the car being on. I thought it may be the head gasket but the heat works, and the car does not over heat. the car has light weight pulleys, no AC, no PS. Every time i drive the car i have to stop and relieve the pressure in the lines before it expands the hoses to a dangerous level.

Doesn't sound like its building too much pressure. If the system was building too much pressure it would overheat.

Either your hose is bad if it looks like its going to pop or you are slightly paranoid about it.

take the radiator cap off when the car is cold...start the car..look in the radiator for air bubbles...if you see em..the head gasket is blown...get back to us.

just replaced the head gasket. i got some feedback saying it could be water pump or the head is warped. oh or the block is cracked. but everything runs fine so it's really strange. imma start with the water pump this weekend and if that doesnt fix it imma tear the block down again and comb over it with a fine tooth comb.
