um what do you mean lose pressure? You mean like it feels like there's no more coolant in there? If that's the case check around for leaks. Might be small, but check around. Could be the cap's spring has gone which could explain the periodicity but dunno. I've never had that happen before. You might have a small leak in your radiator too. Might want to check those out.

if the hose is collapsed i would say your rad cap is not allowing the system to pull coolant in from the overflow bottle. if you mean the hose is extreamly soft when the car is running it is possible the pump isnt pushing the coolant well enough. do you have an overheat problem associated with this? once the car is shut off it is not uncommon for them to loose their pressure rapidly.

How is your coolant level? You might have an internal leak. Check your oil and see if it looks milky or like old chocolate milk.

Is your car running hot. Any details would help. More the better.

You should have vacuum in your cooling system after you turn the car off(After it begins to cool). It sounds like your vacuum may be a little excessive. I would take a look at your radiator cap.
