Well I went and did it. Needed to replace the lower ( water pump to radiator) hose. Got it off and proceeded to remove the heater hose connector that taps into the radiator hose. Rusted solid and snapped off. Seems my options are;
1. Find a replacement connector
2. Drill out the rusted broken thread, re-tap, then figure out how to make a new part.
3. Leave the new lower radiator hose untapped and block off the heater at the right side of the block. That will of course leave me with no heater (bummer). Since I live in Northern California, and the cab is pretty cozy, shouldn't get too cold.
Any suggestions?

Gemmer,

I went with the elbow for the MGA from Victoria British. Its called an "Adapter-Bottom Hose" part # is 14-763. Price is around $20 bucks as I have an old catalog. Here's the link to page 125, guess it went down a dollar or two. I have this set up on 2 of my 320s. Note the outlet for your heater hose or you can order the plug. Diameter is ~1 1/4 so the same size as the stock/OE 320 hoses.

Truckie,
Looks like you have saved my bacon! Thank you. Questions, what heater hose fixture did you use to make the connection from the " Adaptor" to the heater hose?
Did you just use 1 1/4 flex at the water pump and the radiator or did you cut the OE 320 hose?

Gemmer,

You do not use the flex hose. Napa list all the hose by part numbers and you can take these part numbers to your local parts store for cross reference. You just have to dig through Napa and look at every year and model with the E and J series engine. There is like 3 top hose and 1 or two bottom hose to choose from.

Give me a second, I need to go find another thread were I put the part numbers.

Yeah, I can't find my cheat sheet. Give me a day and I'll post all of the cooling system part # and pics. I already have the pics, just need to find the part numbers to the hoses.
