I have a 2018 nissan rogue sport.. One of my children decided to run something back and fourth on my radiator fins and bent A LOT of them.. Could this be causing my car to over heat?

Yes, if the damage is closing off too much of the airflow through the tubes and fins. The device closest to the grille won't actually be the Radiator, it will be the A/C Condenser, but air must pass through that to reach the radiator. If your A/C still works at all then chances are only the fins are damaged and not the tubes, so you can probably get in there with a sharp pick and carefully unbend the flattened areas to restore the airflow. It may take you several hours but it will be much cheaper than a new condenser.
