i got one 12" electric fan on a cxracing radiator for my rb25det. it runs at a good temp now for daily driving, but i want to put a second 9" on a switch that i can turn on when im running hard at the track or in that nice summer stop and go traffic. does anyone know what CFM i should get? thanks

you should be running 2 12 inch fans.... The slim fans range 800-1400 cfm. single permacool fan in 12 inch is 3300cfm

it would be pretty tight with 2 12s. im not sure if it would fit. but like something in the 1500-2000cfm range? is there such thing as having too much cfm?

I run 2 12inch pullers at 1350CFM each, and a 3300cfm pusher on my main radiator. Its very tight, but it fits. Its just tricky getting in and out.

Clutch fans run variable CFM (varies w/RPM) typically the peak (which is probably what this is) is achieved midway in the usable RPM range of the motor. Besides, running a stock clutch fan in a 240 with an RB25 isn't happening. There are literally inches of space b/t the rad and front of the motor. OP, if it's a tight fit, put two 12" fans on the front of the rad, and wire them as pushers, or see if you can wedge another slim fan in there in the puller arrangement.

I <3 my Altima fans... then again I am running a stock KA24E so no cooling issues here.

during summer, to keep clutch from slipping i have an old clutch that has a bolt run through to keep it running at all times. and the get the best cooling, keep the shroud on so the air runs through the whole rad not just a 12in circle or 2.
