I was looking through a junkyard yesterday and ran across a 95 maxima and a 93 sentra. Both still had their fans on the radiator. I want to switch to electric fans from the fan/clutch. I had time to pull and test fit the maxima fans to a junked 240 and the assy seemed too wide to fit a 240. Is the sentra one any shorter dimensionally? Would is cool as well as the maxima ones ? The sentra had the same 2.4 sohc (though mounted sideways). It seems logical that it would be adequate for a dd. I didn't have time to pull it and check the fit . Has anyone used the Sentra fans?

if your going to get an electric fan make sure it covers the entire radiator (i.e. dual fans or 1 big one) or you will have overheating problems.

Both of these were dual fans. I was wondering more if the sentra one would fit on the bottom better than the maxima one. it hit the frame rails on the sides.

I put Altima fans on mine and I had to trim about 3/8" off each side of the shroud to make it fit between the frame. IDK about the maxima one but I'm sure it would be too big. Just stick to trying to find an Altima and it will def fit.

Thanks for the info. The yard had some altima fans and I'll be back over there tomorrow.
