Hi Guys,
I am new on this form and would like to say HELLO to everyboby.
Here is my story.
Recently I was struggling with radiator fans on my lovely Infiniti M35 2007 with 114K miles on the clock. The problem was discovered yesterday morning, when I turned the engine on. Both radiators fans started running as crazy. First, I checked the A/C to make sure it's off. Then, I was driving all day with the radiator fans on 100% of the time. Even being in sunny California, the engine temperature did not go over 180F to open the thermostat because of the running fans. Initially, I thought it's thermostat issue. I unplugged the fans and turned the engine on. After 5 minutes the temparature reached 180F, the lowest hose from thermostat to the radiator became hot. So, I rulled out, the thermostat is Ok. Next, I checked the fan relay. The relay was good as well. The last electric part of the cooling system is a radiator fan contol module. This toy is sitting right in the back of the fan shroud (p/n A18700A28001). Having replaced the module, the problem was fixed. Now, my car is back to normal. I hope my experience will help folks that facing the same problem.

Enjoy your driving
Jeka

How did you notice this problem, were there any undesirable side effects?

ETA: *side effects to the fan running all the time that caused you to notice the issue, not potential side effects from the fan running all the time if not fixed.

I just dropped off the car at the shop because my Infiniti was having the same issue. They told me that they have to flush and replace the thermostat and also replace the module. $495 for the work. Told them to do the thermostat first and I'll do the module later. They said the module is $200. I should've checked here before taking my car. I'll order the module and install it myself. Thanks for saving me over $200, I would've saved about a lot more if I would've checked on here first. Thanks again for the info.

I had the same problem and bought the module (as suggested by bigantm109) at my local Infiniti dealer for $69 w/tax and took me 20 minutes to replace (easy work), that took care of the problem.
