so this morning i went out to my car and the battery was completely drained for some reasron.... so i got my brothers car and the jumper cables and hooked em up to my battery and as soon as i touched the cables to my battery, the fan on the radiator started going.... the car was not on, nor in accesory mode or anything..... the fans just started spining. and they kept spinning. and they NEVER shut off.... as long as they had power, they wouldnt shut off! even when i turned my car off after i started it up and pulled it into my garage.... IT KEEPS DRAINING MY BATTERY... so i unplugged them....

NOW AS TO WHAT I THINK MAY HAVE HAPPEND..... YESTERDAY, i was driving around and my car stumbled and shut off.... i popped the hood and saw that an exposed part of the wire connected to my positive terminal on my battery had touched metal and GROUNDED ITSELF to my battery tray... put a whole through it... SO WHAT I THINK IS.... the relay to the fan grounded itself or something? maybe it shorted it out or something? i knew when i saw that thing with my battery yesterday that it did some bad sh*T....

anyone wanna tell me what i should do? not only with the fans, but what else i should check after what happend to my battery?

Hi. That sounds bad. I suggest getting a consult and checking for codes. As for the fan; there are two relays in the box by your battery. One for low speed and one for high. When it's in high speed mode, both are on, low speed, only low is on. You could swap them with eachother, pull one at a time and consider the differences in either fan speed fast or slow, on or off. That might help diagnose the relays and such through process of elmination. You would benefit from a wiring diagram from your FSM. Sorry I'm not much help. I just added twin fans and found out about the two relays while doing that. Good luck and hopefully someone else will chime in. I suspect you shorted some wires in the relay box... maybe.

Check the relay for the fan, tap it with the handle of a screwdriver. Also there is a Thermocouple mounted at the radiator support, should be a round metal bumpout mounted on a metal tab with a couple wires coming out of it. It controls the fan based on ambient temperature, it too could be failed in the on position.

thanks for the help guys. i was wondering how i could check the relays to see if they're bad or not? i have a feeling that i killed more then just the fan relays
