While working on my Valve cover seal I noticed my plastic radiator Fan is cracked at the base between each blade. Has anyone replaced theirs? How long does this take? I have never replaced one before. I'm calling Joe on Tuesday to price them. Just trying to catch a heads up on how to replace it.

154K and still going....

Takes about 20-30 minutes. You have to loosen/remove the belt first. The job is a tad quicker if you have a 10mm gearwrench for the clutch nuts. If I remember right the fan is in the $50 ballpark.

I just did mine (while swapping the radiator) and it takes about 10 minutes...

10 mm wrench and a big long screwdriver to brace the hub... (or just reach in and hold it by hand).

For some reason I was thinking there wasn't enough room between the fan and the radiator to access the bolts, but it looks like there is. Leave the belt alone, but you'll still need to remove the upper cover and shroud I think.

Nope.

The fan and clutch can be removed w/o removing the shroud or belts.

You might want to replace the fan clutch, while you are at it.
