Radiator/fan shroud?

I just saw one without all the radiator / fan shroud crap... does that need to be in there??

Looks like it just helps direct airflow, but if I take it away am I going to have heat issues?

No you will not. But you will have sliced hands if you're not careful.

Hmm... I don't know if I want to take it all out, granted it makes everything more accessible but it also looks dirty =/

If you take it out and install electric fans it cleans the engine bay very nicely.

yeah, its to help the mech fan, which is placed quite a ways from the radiator. ditch that fan, and ditch the shroud. if u have A/C, you can use the A/C e-fan and rewire it, assuming u arent running a turbo or assorted high-heat setups.-Enzo

either e-fans or dont ditch the shroud. its there for a reason. safety, and cooling... if you dont have it... air will just blow around everywhere, not necessarily on ur radiator.

ehh.... I say personally it wouldn't do too much of harm without but If I were you, I would just leave it on there untill you get e-fans

then you will have to take it out.. I was running on a single A/C fan on my SR Radiator without the mech fan and the shroud for a while and it was fine..

the only time I had a problem was on the skid pad. I was fine around the course as well

but now I have Koyo with dual 12" SPAL fans. and that works awesome
