I noticed my fan blade has developed hairline cracks all around between the blades. It will be coming off since I am about to replace the leaky waterpump so it's the perfect time to change it.

Is it best to get an OEM replacement from the Dealer or is there a reliable/trusted aftermarket source available ?

Yes I'll be keeping the car so I am not looking for "something to throw in there" :)

OEM should be best.

OEM, but they usually last quite a long time. Hit up the junk yard and see if you can find any good examples.

wow..no one told you..ok..i will...switching to an electric fan will free up about 5 extra poneys man..parasitic drag on the motor from a clutchfan set up can be a limiter, as for dealer parts, there big bucks for the same amount of coin, you could have sprung for the ISIS fan and shroud kit..makes the engine bay look way cleaner and you will run way cooler as the fans run max speed all the time..just my 2 cents worth.

Thanks but I wasn't interested in replacing it with an electric fan. That's why I didn't even bring it up :)

Actually tests have shown that the stock fan and shroud setup flows more CFM than any aftermarket electric setups. Also having your electric fans running full speed all the time is inadvisable as it will just wear them out faster and probably keep the engine too cool. (yes there is such a thing) The purpose of the cooling system isn't just to remove as much heat as physically possible, its to maintain the engine at its optimum operating temperature. Now for fire breathing turbo cars like some of us have, these two goals are pretty much one in the same LOL, but for a mostly stock vehicle, its overkill.

i agree with some of what you said..with heat does come power..to a degree...but..for the money, if your broke..its one of the best mods for cheep power out there that has been used from the invention of the automotive electric fan..as for a waste on a bone stock ride..no its not..and you can even get a temp controll unit to maintain factory temps perfectly...the mod has all the pro's..and none of the cons..
