Unable to locate the radiator drain plug on my '94 J30t. Does the large dustshield beneath the engine need to be pulled to access the drain? Any information on draining and flushing would be appreciated.

The drain is on the starboard side of the radiator. There is an access port. The plastic plug tightens flush with the casing and takes a Phillip's screwdriver.

Last year I did a complete drain and fill but couldn't get the block drains undone. They are in an awkard spot. I had added some rad cleaner so I just kept flushing until the water ran clear. I used the orange stuff.

Today I drained and refilled the rad only. I previously had a 50/50 mix but only got about 3 quarts from the rad itself so I added a little new orange stuff and filled the rest up with distilled water. Also added about 3/4 bottle of "Water Wetter." Estimate I'm at 60/40 now. Should be good to go for my up coming desert road trip.
