I was going to have the dealer do a coolant flush on my car, but he is charging an arm and two legs. Can someone tell me if it is very difficult for someone to change it themselves? Instructions on how to do it would be helpful. TIA

I have 240 s13, but should be the same. According to FSM(Factory Service Manual), drain coolant, fill with water, run the car until thermostat opens up, wait till cools down, drain coolant, fill up again.... and you do this until you see clear water coming out. If you have time and patience, can be done at home.

Thanks for the reply. Did you run the heater during the process?I reason I ask is because I did a little research and they recommend to run the heater because the heater core also has coolant in it. Did you have to bleed the system for air bubbles?
