Radar mount - power from mirror

Previously I had an FX37 and was able to install the radar detector to the mirror power. The cable was exposed. Now with the 2016 Q70, the power to the mirror is concealed. I am trying to install a power tap - here is a link to a similar mirror tap.

Anyone has any insight on how to accomplish this?
