Does anyone know if there is a place to tap into 12 volts near the mirror or sun roof controls to power a radar detector? I assume I will need one.

Last time I tried to do that on my Celica, I ran into problems. Could not find 12 volts from accessory power. What I found was what looked like a hot lead, turns out it was fed by the the fadeout circuit for the light.

This car with a lot more electronics will probably be more complicated.

I know it`s a far inferior car but I have an 07 sentra and did not want to have the radar detector plugged in the cig lighter ,so I took the center console apart and wired the radar detector to the wire on the radio harness that is hot when car in ignition, I then mounted the radar detector with velcro to the center console and slipped the connector wire down ,it looks like a wireless detector and it works perfectly( not a ticket yet ).
