So i am getting ready to swap from engine driven to electric fans and was wondering which style is better due to living in deep SE Arizona. 2 7-9" electric fans in a push/pull config or 1 14" .

Keep it stock, I have lived in az all my life, had a 240sx switched to electric fans, always had issues in city driving. I know its not a Z, but it used the mechanical fan same as the Z.

Unless you are getting crazy expensive fans, that can pull a lot of CFM, the mechanical fan is pretty much the way to go especially in Phx summers.

make sure whatever setup you get pulls min 3200 CFM and has a shroud. I'm running a early 90s volvo 740 electric fan on mine with the factory (volvo factory) shroud and have never seen my temp go above center.

I would vote to keep it stock. Less problems, seems to be more reliable.
