Anyone know if you can replace the rack & pinion steering input shaft seal with or without removing the rack? I have a 2006 QX56. Any videos out there? Thank you.

Does anyone know if this is a replaceable seal? Need help please! Starting to leak. If so, please send a (Nissan?) part number. Also, advise if anyone has changed without removing the rack...seems to be access to do so. Thank you!

Parts drawing show it's not available as a service part. That's not to say you couldn't pull it and measure it, it's very likely a standard metric seal. You just can't get it from Nissan, it's part of the rack assembly.

I've seen OE and aftermarket rebuild kits that probably have the seal you are looking for. Here is one from Amazon.com but I have no experience replacing one of these. https://www.amazon.com/Power-Steering-S ... 07FQBF57X/

Thank you guys. I found a company that rebuilds racks and actually sells that seal separately. Nissan does not offer that seal as a replacable or purchasable part. Here is a quick video on how to remove and install that seal which can be done while the rack is still in place: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a8Dukg9FCv0.
