Well, I got under my 240 for the first time today and it was covered in grease, after about 5seconds of looking around I noticed that the passenger side boot on my rack had torn open. I've never done any work on the rack before but I was wondering if a, I can simply replace the boot with a new one and repack the grease, or b, I'm getting an sr in a couple months so would the rack out of the s13 front clip work on my 91? I really don't wanna replace the rack but if going to may as well do it while the engine is out.

the rack out of the front clip won't work because it's RHD. your car is LHD.

It's been a while, but I'm sure that the boot is servicable. Call up the dealer and ask them if you can order that boot seperate of the rack.

now you have an excuse to do a RHD conversion...so you can use the SR20 rack.
