i just replace my rack and pinion, before it had a play at the wheel about 1 or 2 inches play plus for some reason it shakes really bad, so i change the rack and pinion, lower ball joints, tie rods end, strutr, rotors and brakes pads, everything was in the need to be replaced, now i can't turn the wheel i meand is really hard , i wonder if is there a swith than go out, or my power steering stop working and need to be replace it or the new rack and pinion doesn't work, i bought it 2 years ago and was at my storage for all that time, my car is a 1997 nissan pathfinder with 165000 miles on it

Did you do the work? 165K miles I can understand ball joints, tie rods and struts but the rack and pinion? If you did the work describe how you dismantled and the set up. The rack has a vane pump for pressure and if the vanes slipped past their end point this will cause problems but with the car up both tires installed and off the ground can you turn the steering wheel lock to lock with engine off? Make sure your anti theft steering lock is disengaged

Jack up truck
Try to move each wheel up down, left right and feel for any jerkiness, listen to joints, feel them try to rotate them. Use a 30"pry bar and move tie rod ends, ball joints, in rear the anti sway links, front links, look for deterioration at all bushings, see if you can isolate.
