Well yesterday I installed my racingline y-pipe and it was fine and all but this afternoon I left the car running for a lilttle bit while waiting for a friend in the parking lot and when I'm about to leave I notice that that "Service Engine Soon" light is on and I was just wondering what could have caused this and how I could fix it.

I think I might have a tiny leak because while driving, in the cabin i hear more of the engine note from the front of the car than the rear, but not while I'm outside, especially when standing in the back of the car it definatley come through the exhuast. Could a leak cause that light to go off?

Also I was thinking about taking it to the dealership but should i put the stock y-pipes back on before I do so the dealership dont give me any issues about warranty.

Sorry this is kind of long. Any inputs will be greatly appreciated.

Light didnt come on for me, but while at an auto-cross event after a run it did.I used my bullydog gt tuner to reset it & it hasn't come back on. Been 8 months.

K thanks for the input

Ye since i dont have a bully dog tuner i had to disconnect the negative terminal of the battery for 15 mins and it worked it went away, hopefully it will stay off

However, is that typical for you to sense that there is more exhaust note coming from the front of the car rather than the actual exhaust tip while in the cabin? (I also have the fujita sri, idk if that would make a difference)

best thing to do then is to get under the car and feel for leaks, of course doing this when it is cold, as to not burn yourself....

i got the same advice from Joe @ racingline. Also $7.00 tube of Copper type sealant @ the crush gaskets, my husband put this even at the tail end & some of the rasp went away after.as for the CEL, i have no issue since the install..

hey man i had the same issue too. if you disconnect the battery it will eventually come back 50 to 100 miles later. buy some sealant and that should do it.

You most likely have a leak right around the 02 Senors, that's why you got an SES light. Tighten everything around there and go by some Permatex Black Silicone Adhesive Selant and put it around the seals. Has done me good for many years in solving issues like this.
