Has anyone installed the new traction rods yet? If so, can you report on results and performance? Thanks.

I seen them on the racing line website since last week. They definitely got my attention, I'm just worried they might get damaged on a bump. Since, they sit kinda low.

I seen them there also but that's wat I was told by Racingline. I'm only assuming they didn't have em on stock yet

i've got them, but i've got the inside scoop. i don't know if they're actually available yet, i've got them on my car and have for a little while now. when i had them first installed, they def reduced the tire hop and increased the amount of traction accelerating through corners. i did a massive launch (joe did actually) in my car after installing and it gripped really well. biggest thing i've noticed is the reduction in torque steer. i recommend them to anyone.

as for the clearance, they sit about 1/4" lower than the lowest point on the car. they also sit between the wheels, so when you go over a speed bump, the traction rods will move up at the same time as the wheels so the likelihood of hitting them isn't likely.

THAT right there is the selling point for me. Ever since I went 9.5" wide rims all around I've noticed wicked torque steer

it took racingline like a solid 4-5 business days to get my shipping confirmation after i placed the order, so don't worry too much about it.

I had to wait a month for my Y-Pipe and Short Throw myself. Parts are great - I'm a bit on the fence about the service/communication side of things. Patience is definitely key when ordering from these dudes.

This part is on my list of suspension upgrades, so definitely check back in and let us know. Perhaps we can get an official writeup going to generate some articles and such.

I'm working on a video of my car to date, being shot in HD with a good mic, so people can get a clearer idea of how our cars sound with mods, rather than distorted exhaust videos shot from inside the exhaust tip. *slaps forehead*

i can't speak for myself since joe did the install for me, but it's pretty straight forward. get your car on a pair of ramps (you don't want the car jacked up for this), 2 bolts on one brace, 1 bolt in by the tire and done. here's a few pics:

the two bolts on the right side are the one's used to attach the bracket, just slip the bracket between the oem brace and the car.

i believe that this was an empty hole under the car that was used, just attach this end of the traction rod with a bolt that's supplied with the kit

Yeah from what I see, this wouldn't be a permanent change to the car or anything. For now, while I still have a balance due on my car and a warranty intact, I'm all for bolt-ons without permanently modifying anything. This looks like a good mod though from everything I've read.

yeah this kit is totally bolt on

now that i've got the traction rods i'm eagerly awaiting my drop to see how my super suspension upgrade alti handles. rsb, fsb, endlinks, traction rods, lowered, 19's with brand new tires are gonna go for a wild ride in a few weeks.

Just got my confirmation!! I'd be happy to do a detailed write-up when I get it, maybe also an actual performance evaluation. Just have to figure how to post it right.
