Hey guys, as you all know im a big fan of Joe and his products at Racingline, i recieved the sts and stb this week and decided to do the instal this weekend. I have to admit i was skeptical about the short shifter since i had one in my subaru and it didnt do much for it, i also figured the instal wouldnt be very easy and i would have to get under the car which i wasnt looking forward to as my garage is cold and full of snow at the moment.

STB Instal:After speaking with joe he assured me the instal would be straight forward and i wouldnt need to get under my car or anything. the tower bar was extremely easy and took about 5 minutes, even without instructions you would be able to figure it out.

STB thoughts:after the instalation i took it for a quick drive and got to say that the front end feels like a completely different car, all i have is the bar and endlinks, still need lowering springs. i think the rear bar would be the perfect compliment to this to make the car alot stiffer. ive talked to a few local guys who have gotten the stb and said its the best mod they have done to there car so far which i was thinking until today when i got the short shifter installed.

Instal:everything went fairly fast as i have an aftermarket intake so i didnt need to remove it, the hardest thing was getting the c clip out. instead of using needle nose use a pair of side cutters and yank it up which is alot faster. i have to say this is the best thing i have done to the car so far.

Thoughts:before the transmission felt really sloppy but now its really close together and has a more sportty feel to it. the way i would describe it is if you know the feeling you get when you go from neutral into a gear like right when the shifter goes into the gate you can feel it before it gets seated, well with the short shifter the throws are so short your wondering if its even in gear because its so fast which is something i love especially comming from a 400 awd horsepower subaru.

anyways guys i highly recommend these 2, there not expensive and take away 2 things on my list of items i didnt like about my coupe.

Yeah brandon, this isnt an essay dude, you need to space out your text a bit or people will only read the first 3 lines!

you need to install the stillen rear sway bar it is the best mod you can do for now it will help keep your rear tired to the pavement and allow you to take sharp turns about 75% harder than stock. Well probably not with the stock tires (i had Goodyear f1 all seasons waiting for me when i bought the car and the dealer installed them free) having better tire allowed the swaybar to actually show me what it could do...it was amazing the rear doesn't want to kick out like it did before this was the best mod i have done to this car period!!!

are you still running the stock rubber? oh and please break up your run-on paragraph posts next time so its easier to read.
